Hidamari Sketch is back with a blast!

And finally, one of my long awaited shows airs with big bang of an opening song which makes as much sense as Lucky Star’s Motteke! Sailor Fuku (and with just as much super fun energy!).
The gang from Hidamari Apartments is back but this time with a twist! The show turns out to be a prologue of Season 1, with episode 1 showing Yuno taking the entrance exam to Yamabuki High which in Season 1 she was already enrolled in.

My eraser! It stretches!
Obviously Yuno passes and we see her moving into Hidamari Apartments and meeting with the rest of the gang whom we all know and love. SHAFT is doing the animation and we can see their trademark style all too clearly.

SHAFT style alright

Random eyecatches sprinkled around……Yup, definitely standard SHAFT

Looks like one of the new characters

Ever hungry and wacky Miyako is here!

Not forgetting our two senpais Hiro and Sae

Then there’s Cosplay Queen Yoshinoya-sensei and the Principal (And a new character too)

[Thoughts]

Pretty much sums up how I feel about this show.
As usual, I don’t know how this show is going to go given that Season 1 ran in an achronological order. However, it is good to see nothing much has changed except for the introduction of a few new characters which will probably get more screen time as the series goes on.
Since this is a Slice of Life show, I guess we can expect to see Yuno struggle on how to cope with living by herself in Hidamari Apartments. With the help of Hiro and Sae and not so helpful Miyako of course.

Nutbladders!
SHAFT works have always been a hit and miss with me. While I love what they did with Hidamari Sketch and Ef – A tale of memories and REC, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei was abit too messy and Pani Poni Dash and Negima!? just simply flew over my head.
That aside, however, this is one show that is staying on my watch this this season.

Now if only someone would cosplay as Yuno…
