And I’m back again this time with an updated post of my room. It’s been more than half a year since my first room post and with the influx of figurine goodies,  something’s gotta change. Given that I’m beginning a new phase of my life (more on that at a later post), it was a good time to have a change of surroundings.

It’s human nature to be curious about the rooms of others because everyone either:-
1) has voyeuristic tendencies
2) has the need to compare one’s own room with others and either laugh at one’s superiority or cry at one’s inferiority.
3) has nothing better to do right now except to read this post

So which do you fall under? =D

The biggest change is obviously the table. Bought from IKEA, it replaces 2 full desks and gives a very spacious feeling. Or it could just be that the 2 desks made me feel claustrophobic.

I intentionally chose a table with a quarter circle extended side (or whatever it’s called) since it gives me more work room. It also provides me with a place to do any Figure photography sessions since it is right under my brand new lighting which I mentioned here.

Another reason I chose this table set is because it has the option to hang my computer under it. Having your computer right next to you on the table is claustrophobic and putting it on the floor makes cleaning difficult. Now I have pretty blue LED lights under my table whenever I switch off my room lights. =D

That’s my spare Hiyori from my Lucky Star Nendoroid Petit Season 2 which I bought recently. She sits on my 1 TB Western Digital My Book Essentials External Hard Drive which I got in the March IT Show.

And my wall decorations. The posters are the Nanoha Belkan Mages Poster set i got from Collateral Damage Studios at the recent Singapore Toy & Comic Convention.

As for the pokemon drawings, it was done by my kawaii imouto (read: sister) when we were both into pokemon years back and I felt it was a damn pity to throw them. Yeah I have a younger sis. That’s right, you can go cry in a corner now.  (^o^)b

My computer desktop. As you can see, I’ve changed my rainmeter skin from the Nanoha one. I felt this one was alot more clearer.

Orange-kun (reference *wink wink*) on the right is solar powered and sways his head. Watching him makes me relax.

Okay, on to my display cabinet.

A fine layer of dust was starting to settle so I had to evict everyone in order to clean properly. Haruhi wasn’t pleased.

The Lucky Star girls are having a discussion while the Gundams are guarding them. Though from this angle it looks like they have the girls under arrest. =P

Cleaning was done in quick order and everyone placed back in.

First floor is Justice Gundam, Freedom Gundam, Providence Gundam and Figma Nanoha.

Notice there’s a rather obvious space on the left. Why? For Figma Fate of course duh. Can’t wait for her to come. =D

Second Floor would be my Samurai Katanas (I still think they are more like daggers) and the whole Lucky Star gang along with Supreme Ruler of the Display Cabinet Suzumiya Haruhi-sama. I love how she and Konata are both pointing at the camera. =D

2 open areas at the back on the left and right. What for? For my Wave Miko Hiiragi Sisters figures that should be coming soon. I need to find somewhere to put my Lucky Star Figmas when they come but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. =D

Third floor is Gundam heaven with the whole gang aiming their guns at me. Dynames is abit hard to see but then again he’s a sniper. I like Exia’s pose as he looks a bit like a knight holding his ground. Overall it looks like one of those boss fights with Exia as the boss and all the others as those smaller annoyances that like to pester you.

And the last floor is where my books and Oryzae and Crysogenum reside. They look like librarians lol.

As you can see, I’m a fan of Harry Potter. If you are wondering why I got the children’s cover version it’s because I read Harry Potter early and my first three books were all children covers. Might as well make it all the same.

I’m also a fan of The Artemis Fowl Series. If you like technology, magic, comedy and intrigue woven into a seamless and engaging story I reccommend you give Artemis Fowl a try.

I also read the Battletech and Mechwarrior series. You can’t see them cause they are in the drawer. My favorite remains the Falcon Guard Trilogy. I used to be a heavy reader (before anime) and bought quite a few books. Until I discovered book rentals which allowed me to read extensively without buying anything. Series like the Dragonlance series and Eragon were read this way.

I’ve also got a few english manga of Pokemon. I stopped at the first few volumes since I had no buying power then. Besides, I borrow them from a friend now. (^_^)b

So I guess that’s it. I kinda ended up rambling on about my reading habits but if I can’t do it here then it’s pointless being a blog writer no?

I hope no one comes to steal my display cabinet now. There’s alot of money (in the form of figures =P) sitting in there.
