KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
\( =w=.)/
It is finally here!!! The moe otaku goodness that is Konata from Lucky Star is finally here!!!
This would of course be the first of all the 4 Figmas I’ll be getting from the Lucky Star series. I hope they don’t release a Summer Uniform version. My wallet can’t take anymore of this. Anyway, lets take a look.

I took out the cardboard with the background for the packaging to take a glance. Konata looks small.

The carrying bag plus the creepy disembodied hands.

So here is Konata fresh out of the box. Damn is she cute. With all the Nendoroid Petits and now Figma Konata, I noticed that her ahoge is one of the biggest obstacles when it comes down to positioning her.

Stand insertion point and how to cover it up.
In both the Petit Nendo (spelling the full thing is a pain) and Figma, Konata’s ahoge means that the stand has to be inserted into the hair rather than the body. This makes adjusting the postion of the head much more complicated. Also, Konata’s ahoge also limits her head’s turning radius as the hair gets blocked by the shoulders. It would also be interesting to note that despite having the stand insertion point in her ahoge, Konata also has another insertion point on the back of her torso. I guess this would mean all the Lucky Star Figmas are using the same torso. Except Miyuki. Displays of her so far show curves. Maybe that’s why she’s the last to be released.

Time to see a doctor if your hair drops like this…
Konata is my second Figma and unfortunately it seems to suffer the same problem as Nanoha. That being the removable hair portion is rather loose and sharp bumps result in the above situation. I don’t seem to be the only person with this issue but then I’ve only asked 1 other person. I guess mass produced pieces will never be as good as the original thing.
Anyway, enough with the depressing stuff. Lets have some pictures. First up are the “official poses” (i.e the ones behind the box). =P

Mmm…Choco Coronet

As per all my figures, Konata suddenly comes to life proceeds to wreck havoc!

She runs off and comes back with the petit version of herself. I guess Konata likes Nendos too.

Then she comes back again with Kagami. Kagami doesn’t seem too happy.

She bumps into Exia who happened to be on patrol. Pikachu’s on leave so Exia had to take over. I wonder if Konata watches Code Geass as well?

Konata glomps Haruhi…

And glomps Oryzae…

She drags out one of my Samurai katanas but fails to unsheath it…

Wait, where did Konata get that?

I guess we know from where now…

Konata picks up something interesting from the floor. Guess Exia must have put it down while searching for his Beam dagger.

Exia is held at gun point by Konata. Some guard you are Exia.

The GN Sword is too heavy so Konata goes for a lighter weapon. I wonder where she got it from? Looks like Exia is depressed from being held hostage by his own gun.

Konata faces off with Strike Aile. Looks like Exia wants revenge on Konata.

Suddenly Konata turns around and whips out…..wait isn’t that Nanoha’s Raising Heart?

I guess Exia knows when he’s beat. Messing with RH equals messing with Nanoha. Lol.

Hmm I wonder what is Nanoha searching for……

[Final Thoughts]

Man I love Figmas. They may not be as detailed as most figures, but their props and posabilty makes them much more fun than static figures. And they are easier on the wallet too. =D
So what can you expect from me in the coming weeks?
1) You can look forward to more Figure reviews, this time of Figma Fate T. Harlaown which should be in my hands in the next few weeks. There’s also Figma Tsukasa who should be out this month as well. And finally there’s the Hiiragi Sisters in Miko dress by Wave.
2) Now that I have a more “carry-able” figma (Nanoha’s dress made her travel unfriendly), I am considering of trying what Danny Choo often does which is to bring them out for a spin. Is anyone interested in seeing the sights of Singapore with Konata? =D
