the ingredients for making it an epic series – Action, Moe, Plot, Musics, Character and flavorings

The name “Macross” will ring any bell in perhaps.. any anime fan’s head, particularly those who started watching animes since the 90s and with its latest sequel – Macross Frontier, the fandom just grows out of amazing proportions decorated with news of record breaking sales and on the charts.

It’s just that simple – detail. The artwork, the development of the plot paired with an ochestrated kind of music along with exciting action simply put other animes to shame. Sounds subjective but of course, there are other animes that prevail in other perspectives that Macross might lack.

The producers are clever and they know what’s necessary to attract the attention of anime fans and adding a little fanservice, the crowd gets bigger. Sheryl and Ranka are the main elements that makes it sucessful along with a little Klan Klan and maybe a little Nanase (booby fanservice) to make it interesting.  Pairing the girls with guys of character in a sci-fi setting along with some mecha robot action against evil Vajra. Tada! you get the epic-ness you need.

Macross Frontier is the possible anime to take over my own personal favorites in terms of music epic-ness. My personal favorite have changed in the years of anime watching from Haibane Renmei, Tsubasa Chronicles to Kanon. Now, Macross Frontier is taking over the hot seat. You have Kanno Yoko to thank for all the ub3r Frontier musc ;)

With the technology nowadays, CG effects and 3D action adds on to the excitement to another level, eye candy to the maximum? I was starting to wonder sometimes if such is necessary and without it, will the current Macross Frontier be as hot as it like now ?

want some Klan?

Talents are found everywhere in Macross Frontier, another key element to make an anime successful – Voice actors. Nakajima Megumi, being her debut appearance in voice acting rose to fame with her cute and lovely voice as Ranka Lee and her sweet character songs that gained her popularity. Her recent Seikan Hikou (星間飛行) is one of my faves along with Aimo. She has that moe factor in her voice in my opinion that gave her the advantage … Megumi as Ranka is <3

It is just that epic and with other awesome animes, the season has sparkled with life.
