And she’s finally here! Konata’s happy and so’s Nanoha. Though in a rather different way it seems.

Nanoha looks on as I conducted my unpacking.

The much awaited figure to fill the lonely void opposite Nanoha in my display cabinet. Needless to say, I opened the box with much joy.

A snapshot of the backdrop given in the box. Lovely.

    Awww……She looks so sweet……

And here’s Fate fresh out of the box. I really like her Barrier Jacket. Compared to Nanoha’s, it has a much more military feeling which the armoured gauntlet and boots emphasise. Not to mention Fate’s black and gold is the perfect complement to Nanoha’s white and blue.

Really shiny tap-dancing boots she has. Probably has a nice sound too.

Getting punched by that probably hurts.

    More disembodied hands

Fate also comes with various armoured hands to punch, poke or slap enemies with.

    Weapons R’ Us

Of course, one of the highlights of Figma Fate is her weapons. Bardiche in all his glory is available thus giving us many possiblities in posing Fate which is certainly the reason one buys Figmas. Not to mentioned all the weapon swapping possibilities too. =D

We now move on to the next crucial component of Fate which is her cloak. Her cloak is one of her largest accessories, second only to Bardiche in Zanber Form. However, there were no instructions on how to put it on. It certainly cannot be fitted over her head as Fate has twintails and the opening is a closed loop which is smaller than Fate’s head as shown below.

After much fiddling, I finally got it. It involves removing the entire headpiece of the figure and placing the cloak in position before replacing the head. Obviously, I do not appreciate the “beheading” of Fate every time I want to add or remove her cloak but I guess it can’t be helped.  I never knew you could remove the heads of Figmas.

Anyway, as you can see, add a cloak gives Fate massive points in the coolness factor. However, its weight also means that Fate is pretty much unbalanced with it. That isn’t really an issue as Fate with her cloak looks alot better suspended rather than standing on the ground.

    Here are some official poses.

And here we have a few pictures of Bardiche’s Zanber Form. As can be expected, Zanber Form is quite top heavy making it very difficult for Fate to hold it suspended in one hand. Moreover, Taking pictures with Zanber Form is difficult as trying to take the full length of it makes you lose the centre of focus of the picture (which is Fate). Nevertheless, I took advantage of the situation so alot of the Zanber Form poses actually had me holding the end of the blade which was not in the picture.

    Nanoha looks on lovingly

After fiddling so much, I can conclude that Fate is the best out of the 3 Figmas I have thus far. She doesn’t suffer from hair drop syndrome as her hair has a tooth shapped locking point. Her joints are suitably stiff as well as her hands making her poses quite secure. This, however, does make changing hands abit on the tough side. Attaching the stand to her back is also a little troublesome has we have her cloak to contend with. Finally, Fate has ALOT of paint rub-off points. This is evident from the massive amount of plastic packaging she comes with.

Of course, all the above is rendered small by the fact that she looks SO UBER COOL.

And now for a few poses of my own.

Fate Stay Night’s Saber Style, with a much bigger blade =D

After the long photoshoot, I give Fate a break. Nanoha jumps right into Fate’s loving arms.

    Wait…this looks pretty familiar doesn’t it?  ^_^

Fate and Nanoha certainly share alot of attachment to each other.

    It’s the back glomp! O_o

But all meetings must come to an end as I drag Fate away for another photoshoot.

    Fate: Don’t forget me Nanoha!
Nanoha: I will never forget you! You are my one true love! (Wait…)

    Nah Just kidding. =P

On to some cool combat poses.

Fate and Nanoha make a great combination, both here and in the show. Now imagine what it’ll be like when I get Hayate. d(^_^)b

Oh noes! Konata strikes again! This time with Fate’s Bardiche!

    Uh-oh…

Stopped in the nick of time by Nanoha. Carrying her Raising Heart Excelion. Looks like Nanoha ain’t gonna let Konata start another round of mayhem. Lol.

    A touching reunion

Nanoha returns Bardiche back to Fate. They both look so happy. =D

    .

    [Final Thoughts]

    Haruhi: “行け!!!” (GO!!!)

Come on, you can’t expect to have Nanoha and Fate in the same room and NOT have YURI right? =D

Be mentally prepared when Figma Kagami comes in. You know what to expect.

For those who didn’t get the hugging picture, try googling “Kannazuki no Miko”. The images tab should be more than enough to answer your questions. The show is also pretty decent. Don’t watch it for the mecha element though.

I’m glad to see people enjoy my Figure reviews. I’ll keep them coming as long as I have them coming if you get what I mean. =D

Until then, keep your homepage as Anime Banzai!, if it isn’t already. =D
