Hiiragi Kagami & Tsukasa Wave PVC

Miko gives twice the power =D

And after going on and on about how they are coming, they are finally here!

FEEL DA POWA OF THE HIIRAGI MIKO SISTERS!

This picture is so sweet I just had to post it again. <3

It has been a long wait so I was quite happy to receive news of their arrival. Since they are PVC (i.e unmoveable), don’t expect too long a post like those of Nanoha, Fate and Konata. Okay let’s move on to the unboxing.

Tsukasa comes first (Patz squeals for joy).

I like their box design. It’s simple and clear and has plastic sides to give us an approx. 120 degree view of them as well as a plastic window at the top to allow light in. The box is also printed with a character description and references from the anime. See below.

For those of you poor souls who can’t read it,

Kagami’s younger twin sister and close friend of Konata’s She has a tolerant attitude and shrugs aside Konata’s silliness. Perhaps she just simply goes with the flow. A typical friendly, soothing character. Is actually a mayonnaise fiend?

Mayonnaise fiend??? O_O

What about the balsamic vinegar?

She puts mayonnaise on everything including the kitchen sink

Okay on to more pictures of the figurine itself.

I know some people have mentioned this, and I agree, that Tsukasa does look abit weird. I suppose it is the overly pale complexion and and maybe abit on the face though I can’t say exactly why. Nevertheless, I still bought her because:-

1) It’s Lucky Star (duh!)
2) She MUST come as a set with Kagami (larger factor of the 2 =D)

WARNING!!! RANT INCOMING!!!

I feel a little cheated…

Those of you who are sharp-eyed would have probably noticed it by now from the side view picture. Yes, that’s bluetack under the omikuji box. Now whay would I use bluetack?

BECAUSE THE DAMN BLOODY THING DOESN’T FIT IN TSUKASA’S HANDS!!!

They provided some double sided tape below but that obviously doesn’t do shit.

*calms down*

From the way I see it, Tsukasa’s hands are cupped too closely causing the omikuji box to be unable to fit in at all. This is a much bigger problem compared to it being cupped too far apart, at least then I could still put it in. So I’m stuck with using bluetack to hold it in place while having it tilt slightly forward.

Tsukasa’s still good so I guess I’ll live with it. I doubt I’ll be able to swap anyway. And Tsukasa’s cute (Patz squeals for joy again).

Okay okay on to the next.

Kagamin!

Okay I admit it. The main reason I got this set is because of Kagami. (Patz cries)

One look at a picture of her and I was a goner.

I mean, how can you look her in the face say “No”?

Anyway, Kagami’s box is also printed the same way as Tsukasa…

Again,

Tsukasa’s elder twin sister. Konata’s close friend. Her thought process is normal, so she often pokes fun at Konata. She may be the most right-minded character. An aloof-chummy type, who is warm-hearted only when she has gotten to know you.

Lol “aloof-chummy type”? I guess that’s their way of translating “tsundere”? =D
