This post will be covering the Coscon part of my GCA 08 coverage. Pictures say much more than words ever will so just click and see the pictures after the break!

Contestant number 1 is the crab head thingy from Half-life, blood gore and all. Sorry for the blurred image for this one but someone bumped into me ^^;

Contestant number 2 is Naruto, complete with ball thingy (Rasengan). I’d be more excited but there are alot of Naruto cosplayers so…… moving on.

Number 3 is Sawada Tsunayoshi from Hitman Reborn! Is that the blue screen of death behind him? Lol. I never watched Hitman Reborn. Is it good? The length of the series kinda puts me off from trying.

The fire is cute XD

Numero 4 is Prince Arthus a.k.a the Lich King. People who play Warcraft should know this one. Very impressive cosplay and he even comes equipped with dry ice which causes smoke to flow out of his armour. His Frostmourne is an impressive piece of work too though it pales in comparison to the real thing displayed a couple of booths away =P

I will chill your bones!!!

Number 5 is Masked Rider. Nothing to say here since I don’t watch the show nor am I a fan of any related series.

Next is a someone cosplaying as a Blood Elf. I’ve seen her before in Matsuri and here and there. She came with her own dance routine which was entertaining. Again, it would be better to go to youtube itself to watch the HQ version.

Next is someone csoplaying as another character from Warcraft which is the Warchief. Another impressive cosplay though it left him almost unable to see where he was going, let alone climbing up or down the stairs. That ordeal caused him to drop his hammer once though I never caught that picture. I’ve included a vid of him climbing up and down the stairs.

I has a big hammer.

Next is some guy from the game Monster Hunter I believe. Not my thing so I haven’t much to say. That is an interesting weapon though.

The next cosplayer’s character slipped my mind. Obviously from a game/show I’ve never seen before.

A character from vampire Knight is next. However she is someone not in the anime apparently but in the manga. Having not read the manga, her name is lost to the noisy crowd and booming loud speakers.

Next is Lavi from D.Gray man. There seems to be alot of D.gray man cosplayers with the bulk of them being Allen, Lavi and Lenalee. Not that I mind since I like group cosplays. I like most of the Lavi cosplays I’ve seen so far. He didn’t bring a full sized hammer though.

Next is Kasumi from Dead Or Alive. I played the game once in an now ancient console and for some reason liked grabbing my opponent’s head by sitting on their shoulders and flipping them. I still prefer Lee though.

Next is some character from Ragnarok Online I think. Never played, never will. Moving on.

I has Kung Fu!!!

Those of you who played Hellgate London should recognise this one. The Templar Guardian class of the game. Love the armour which comes with lights. Unfortunately, he stood behind the spotlight from my position so half of him was concealed. The shadow caused by that does give a pretty nice effect though.

For the horde! =P

C.C from Code Geass. nothing really special though. Speaking of Code Geass, I’m really enjoying the show. No one knows what’s going on anymore given the twists and turns the show has taken. And we must forget the facial expressions.

Where there’s C.C there’s Lelouch. I’ve seen him before somewhere though I can’t quite place him. Anyway, I like his poses. I wonder if it’s possible to do a geass eye lens? And someone should cosplay Lulu in his funky Emperor clothes.

I have absolutely no idea with this one. It garnered alot of laughs though.

You can’t have a cosplay event without Allen from D.gray man I guess. I prefer him with the claw though. Timcampy is cute. I wish I had one.

And finally, some guy from Prince of Tennis. I think he’s Kikumaru Eiji. I never really liked sports anime so obviously I have never watched it.

Whew.

Fast forward an hour or so of waiting, the results are below.

Kasumi won 4th, breaking the tie she had with Masked Rider with a loud battle cry. I wonder if she took Taekwondo?

Third went to the cosplayer doing the Blood Elf.

Second went to the guy cosplaying as the Lich King. He wins a Wii. I guess he’ll be swinging that instead of his Frostmourne for sometime.

And First prize goes to the Hulk. I mean the Warchief. Big surprise huh?

RAWR!!! Mah hammer owns j00!

All in all a rather decent cosplay competition.
