It is a “yay~!” for CLANNAD

The start of a new season in October brings a refreshing feel of animes along with some sequels that we are all expecting. I am sure many including my fellow writer – Setsukyie is crazy about the return of CLANNAD. Ahh yes~ the moe…

    GAR? Nah

We are not gonna go into the plot summary (episode summary), there are plenty around animeblogger and other sites. Thoughts and impressions are what we will be doing.

Suprisingly, I am so crazy with the OP in After Story that I decided to harness a discussion between my fellow writers….

    mmmm~ its KYOU!!! :D

    The new OP/ED in CLANNAD ~After Story~

nutcase23: Well, to me this OP compared Season 1’s felt more emotional. The song felt like a wave rapidly building up to a height then breaking over and flowing into the beach in a gentle ripple. They also altered the character introduction style as compared to the first season’s OP with the character silhouette being a window to the dream world and scenes that paced the music very well, like that of Nagisa in a flower field with a rotating camera.

oOgA: Got to agree with that, the new OP animation is very beautifully done and the entire song feels like a superb emotional roller coaster, a possible hint to what the future episodes in After Story will be like. Lia did a good job imo in singing the song. Kyoto Animation deserves a praise for this. ;) The interaction between various scenes build up the emotion along with the song.

Kozato: I think the music is lacking lusture as compared to the first season. Maybe we got different taste

nutcase23: looks like I share oOgA sentiments on this. It would seem that Ryou and Fuuko get no introduction this time in the OP though. However, they do appear in the OP still though for Fuuko is was only her back. Does this mean they are taking a beack seat this season?

oOgA: Fuuko…ghosts are not included ;P As for Ryou, she is not a main character to start with in the original visual novel as her story will intertwine with one of the main characters, her sister – Kyou

Kozato: she’s just a supportive character and besides, if you choose an ending with her, the game ends as a bad end

    full of moe goodness~

A very good light hearted start for After Story and imo, the pace is just right although the introduction of the main characters yet again does seem really in place but as usual, KyoAni did an awesome job in the animation quality and top notch fluid motion for certain scenes….darn

Sadly, TBS’s tv output remains as 4:3 resolution, those who wanted a widescreen version will have to wait until BS-i releases its 16:9 ver.

    hmm..

    fluid motion….

    lovely Nagisa

    an reintro?
