    Mei…

Setsukyie here. I’ll be blogging CLANNAD ~After Story~ here from now on, I’m back from my hiatus and I’m ready to write more posts. What does that mean? It means, get ready for more tl;dr thesis posts. ^_^

Anyway, let’s get back to CLANNAD. This was certainly an enjoyable episode. From the funny moments to the serious stuff, KyoAni sure knows how to balance things. Continuing from last week’s episode, the episode focuses on Mei and Sunohara, and we’re in the Sunohara Siblings route, which was also in the visual novel.

oOgA: This episode of CLANNAD brings lolicon love to an epic level :P Honestly, the scenes portrayed, some were suggestive. :o

    Isogai Sanako, jyunanasai desu~ kyaa!

Talk about moe overload. Sanae is definitely the best mother in all of Key’s visual novels and possibly the best mother in the history of anime. She definitely has the looks, the kindness, and all the things we want in a perfect girlfriend/mother. She’s married to Akio though.. If you’re ready for a GAR beating from Akio, then you might want to hit on Sanae (she’ll never agree to it though). As for me, I don’t want to take any chances..

And lol, even Sanae is using her neighbour’s last name, Isogai. The other person who did so was Fuuko. No Fuuko in this season huh… Not that I’m complaining..

    *nervous*

And..who isn’t nervous when you’re with a girl as pretty as Sanae, not to mention that it’s your first date. If that was me, I’ll be just like Sunohara, or even worse. Yea, I’m like that..

Btw, I’m glad that Sanae is having fun as well. Just like what Mei said, to go out with Sunohara..how pitiful.

oOgA: Sunohara can be quite a bas*ard sometimes, not that I am hating him for a reason but simply cos of his antics. It appears irritating once in a while but yet from an anime perspective, a comedic man to laugh at.

How do you play that game..lol..

That guy sure has weird tastes for everything…

No wonder he has no girlfriend. I don’t know about his music taste, but going to the arcade is actually a great idea. Some girls like it, especially if you play games together. That is certainly a wonderful way to get closer. In this scene, Sanae didn’t mind what Sunohara was doing and she just follows him around, while his boyfriend is having fun.

Kids these days just can’t get along..

    Onii-san to the rescue!

    One look says everything

So, Mei wants to be treated the same way. How sweet. I mean, most little sisters nowadays just wants her big brother to mind his own business (including mine). In anime however, it’s quite common to see the onii-san saving the imouto from harm. Well, that’s anime for you..

    Get over it..

Sunohara being a jerk and all, was disappointed at Sanae for helping the kids out. What’s up with that? lol. It gets in the way of your date.. So what.. it’s not like the date was real. I am with Mei on this one. This is the first time Sunohara disappointed me, and I was hoping it would be the last time. Sunohara was one of my favorite characters back in season 1. With his good sense of comedy, amazing amount HP, and who can forget the GAR moment, he is officially the best ‘best friend type’ character out there. But now…*sigh*

    Dango~ Dango~ Dango~ Dango~ Dango daikazoku~

    lolwut?

LOL, Sunohara actually did it. Well, he did get fooled around by Tomoya many times in the visual novel, it’s no surprise to see this one. I laugh at every single one of them. But still, it’s even funnier in the anime version.

And..Tomoya is listening to Dango Daikazoku? Nagisa has brainwashed him..lol..

    ouch..

    lolicon alert!

And that’s all you can think about..

This scene was..harsh. Sunohara bluntly saying that her sister is no longer of importance to him must have been painful for Mei to hear. Mei replying her brother by saying that she is going out with someone was a great idea, but it will obviously lead to more misunderstandings if the plan doesn’t work out. Though, it doesn’t seem that Mei minds if her brother scolds her. That’s how much she loves her onii-san.. *heart aches*

But all Sunohara can think about is Sanae. Sunohara is taking the whole dating stuff too seriously. Have you forgotten the purpose of Sanae agreeing to this whole thing. Rather than making things better, things became worse. If only Tomoya revealed that Sanae is Nagisa’s mother (not her sister), then Sunohara won’t be thinking that he has a chance with Sanae (as if). Not to mention he has to deal with Akio..lol..

In short, this scene is where the serious stuff begins..

OMG Sanae, since when did you became moe(er)

That was a close call. The plan is still going on and Akio haven’t found out about it. If not, god knows what will happen…

Btw, they’re doing this for Mei’s sake. Mei already knows about it, so what’s the use. Sanae, you don’t have to spoil Sunohara any further..

    Onii-chan~

    Oniiii-chaaan~

    Onii-chan wa echii…

If you haven’t turned into a lolicon by now, you must be lying. Mei’s moe-ness is godlike and her ‘onii-chan’ call is a deadly weapon of mass destruction. Especially with that cute voice of hers. Tomoya seems to be enjoying it, until…

    oOgA: *endures the moe-ness*

Don’t worry girls, he is only interested in lolis..

    Must…Resist…Saying the ‘M’ word…

Haha..busted.. Tomoya was over-doing it anyway, but I understand why. It’s sad that this was the only line Kyou said in the whole episode (Kyou fan here). Hopefully Kyou will let out some words of encouragement to Sunohara next episode. Or give him an epic kick to get his senses back to him. After all, Kyou is one of the closest people to Sunohara.

oOgA: Honestly, i like that screenshot. lol

    Wish I was there..

    Hishishishi~ So cute~

A purikura! First saw it on Kanon 2006, when Makoto took it with her ‘family’..*sobs*. Anyway, a purikura is a must when you go on a date in Japan. It’s like taking pictures with you camera, only better..

    Scary Sunohara is damn scary..

    Nice one, Tomoya

Please continue what you’re gonna say

Payback time. This explains why Tomoya is way better than your average harem leads. I’m sure he knows what kind of consequences will come as result from this. I’m so disappointed at Sunohara now. I know that he still cares about Mei, he was angry and all, but he is still like this. He has his own problems and all, but that’s not a good enough reason for him to act this way. He still have a big role in Mei’s life, that is to be a role model to her, and to take care of her. He is being insensitive towards Mei’s feelings, and that’s just bad..

And Sunohara looked really scary here. From a comic relief character, to a person who can be considered as GAR, to someone like this. That’s some incredible character development over there, especially for a side character.

    Poor Mei..

Mei’s been through a lot. She still haven’t gave up on Sunohara and she still wants to get Sunohara back to his senses. Well, I don’t know what happened between Sunohara and the soccer club, but it must be something big since it is being mentioned here. I’m sure that everything will go well in the end, since this is how animes like this work out in the end. ^_^

    !!!

    woah..

Wow, I didn’t see this coming at first. This sure is something. If there’s anyone who can get back the old Sunohara, it’s Tomoya. If this is the only way, it has to be done. Get ready for an epic episode next week. And if Sunohara makes Mei cry, I’m soo gonna kill that guy. Anyway, next episode better come soon.

oOgA: Can you believe it ? An episode of CLANNAD and tensions rise between Sunohara and Tomoya. Prolly gonna be a comedy but I do hope they sum things up in the next episode. It is gonna get interesting.
