It’s the Goddess Suzumiya Haruhi-sama herself and she’s here to stay!

Another impulse buy.
I keep telling myself not to buy any haruhi related stuff because I already have this (which is my very first PVC figurine) but my love for Figma, and Haruhi (and a little egging on by my friend who seems very determined to see my wallet drained) has resulted in the above box arriving in my house.
A rather old release to be sure, but some characters are just too epic to be denied.
Anyway, lets get the show started.
And here she is fresh out of the box. She did look weird through the packaging. I suppose it is due to the funny way her head was positioned. Not a good way to boost sales if you ask me but then Haruhi transcends such mundane matters.
For those of you guys who don’t already know, the back part of Haruhi’s skirt is actually split. So you can lift it up to reveal her……nevermind ^^;
Personally, I find Haruhi’s head the best part of her. Her expressions are very cute (especially this one) and her hair ribbons are just very nice to look at.

Haruhi is the only Figma I have which allows a change of shoes.
However, I don’t envision myself doing it much seeing as it is quite difficult to remove them. After the incidents that have happened previously, I haven’t have much heart to risk too much =P.

Now here’s a comparison to my very first actual figurine (I got Petite Nendos before her and they don’ count as figurines is you ask me…), my Wave 1/10 PVC Suzumiya Haruhi. Quality difference is obvious of course. I have noted alot of comments from my friends and in the forums I frequent that the biggest gripe against Figmas is quality and the joints.
Joints turn some people off and I have to agree since I initially disliked Figmas because of that. Obviously I’ve converted. XD
Gotta love PVC figurines though. Detail is astounding at times especially those by Alter, notably the recent Nanoha StrikerS figurines. Sadly, the prices are pretty astounding too.
Anyway, lets get down to the usual poses (both “official” and mine).
To be honest, this face is my least favourite. I like my Haruhi smiling…

Haruhi wants to start her Hare Hare Yukai dance but lacks members. She looks around and Miku singing to an imaginary audience.
Or rather, singing to my camera XD
Haruhi goes up to Miku and “convinces” her to let her borrow the mic.

Using the mic, Haruhi calls for willing participants to join her dance. Only aliens, time travellers and espers may apply.
Miku is upset over the loss of her mic……
Konata happened to still be in the neighbourhood and she gets chosen my Haruhi. Konata still qualifies since she’s a short, flat-chested, blue-ahoge otaku, a rarity if there was one.

Since there’s no one else forthcoming, Miku gets to be the 3rd member. Well, if you can’t beat them, join them.

I hoped you enjoyed this post. Figma Tsukasa and Kagami No.2 should be coming soon (I really hope by this week) and we’ve got Miyuki coming in in November. You gotta love photoshop. Sometimes blu-tack just doesn’t cut it and you got to use the stand. With photoshop, ugly stand gone! XD
