Kagami No 2 is here! And along with her, Tsukasa!

Since Kagami’s debut was delayed by an unfortunate accident (a.k.a what happened to kagami No.1) and I’ve been strapped for time lately, a double figurine review is in order.

That and they both go together so well XD.

Since Tsukasa’s release, I’m sure you guys would know that the sides of the boxes form a picture of the 4 Lucky Star girls. The best guess would be that Miyuki should be on the right side. At least going by the OP scene of Lucky Star,

Tsukasa, Konata, Kagami and Miyuki all the way on the right.

Now lets take a look at Tsukasa shall we?

Aww…

I had to order her through other means as my friendly local anime merchandise store ran out before my turn. Apparently they misjudged Tsukasa’s popularity it seems (but not Kagami’s though. They had stock for her). Well, Tsukasa’s not in the semifinals of Saimoe’08 for nothing.

So cute that Patz would surely go crazy on seeing this post. Tsukasa doesn’t get as much attention as Konata and Kagami in the show. She’s usually used as a contrast to Kagami or to provide comic relief. At least she gets more love than Miyuki. Miyuki never gets any love. In fact, I’m kinda hard pressed for ideas on posing Miyuki when she arrives (Nov-Dec).

Tsukasa got more show time in the OVA though. I was laughing so hard at the RPG scenes.

Okay back to the topic. Tsukasa’s short hair makes for less balancing issues and obstruction as compared to Konata who is a nightmare to balance without her stand (I still love her though, hair drop syndrome and all). The ends of her short hair however, seem to jut onto her shoulder and obstruct head rotation. Though that’s easily solved by lengthening the neck alittle by pulling out the head slightly.

All in all very good. She doesn’t suffer from hair drop syndrome now that the Figmas after Fate seem to all have tooth shaped locks to keep the hair in. Tsukasa’s very easy to carry around since she’s got no fragile external appendages. Oh and this and the last 2 pics are the “official poses” (i.e. those behind the box). Let’s move on to mine.

That ribbon is cute.

I really love this face. It can be used for so many situations and is soo Tsukasa.

“Dondake………”

Tsukasa comes with her handphone. Again many possible uses. I dun see a Keroro key chain though.

And now for Kagami!

Kagami No.2 fresh out of the box.

Say hello to Kagami No.2! After the tragic demise of her predecessor, she has come to fill the void of moe tsundere in my display cabinet.

I really like her twintails. As Konata said, “Tsunderes must be twintails!”. I don’t know about that but I do know know someone who’s crazy about them and squeals about collecting them all (I know he’s reading this blog XD).

While Konata is still my favourite character, Kagami is a very close second. I really enjoy watching the two of them jab each other in the show.

Oh and yes, I am going through the “official” poses right now.

It’s running Kagami! No, I didn’t photoshop this one. My finger is on her foot ^^.

I forgot to take an individual picture but Kagami comes with a magazine which you can paste a sticker of a Comptiq magazine cover on it. However, I saw someone somewhere (I think it was dannychoo.com do something interesting with it and I decided to imitate……

See where this is going yet? XD

I seriously love photoshop. All it takes is a scan, some screenshots and a few minutes of photoshopping and wala! Doujinshi for Kagamin. XD

Good thing I have a spare book since I have 2 Kagamis. XD
