After the end of the epic Sunohara Siblings arc last week, this week, we are in Misae’s arc. Misae’s route is one of the two routes that I have finished playing in the visual novel, the other one is Kyou’s. So, I have an idea of what’s to come. But still, it’s fun to experience the epic arc again, in anime form. Well, shall we get started then?
Amazing animation is amazing
After all the scenes regarding the girl that we’ve seen so far, we still have no idea what it’s all about. The girl resembles Nagisa, she has that doll friend of hers, she is lonely, and she is in a world where no one else exist, that’s all I know so far. I’m pretty sure that it has something to do with the real After Story that’s coming. I’m not gonna play the visual novel for this, I’m gonna watch the anime to find out, for more epic effects. ^_^
They’re always together…*shakes fist*
They even visit Sunohara together..so sweet. Well, I’m not jealous or anything, Kyou is the only girl for me. Speaking of her, she’s no where to be seen in the episode (shadz). Anyway, in the visual novel, Tomoya visits the dorm alone in Misae’s route, since you can only choose one route per playthrough, so Nagisa has nothing to do with Tomoya.
DIVINE PUNISHMENT!!!
LOL, the scene is more epic in the anime after all (of course). Poor Sunohara, even after going through all that last episode, he is back to being everyone’s punching bag, and that’s a good thing (not for Sunohara though). Even though Misae doesn’t posses the same strength as Tomoya, but she sure packs a punch, and she is more violent (lol). A worthy opponent for Kyou.
By the way, Sunohara is not the only one who suffers from Misae’s divine punishment, the rugby player suffers from it as well.. Yeah, scary…
So this is how a girl’s room look like.. Interesting…
In the visual novel, Tomoya enters Misae’s room alone. So, there’s some love tension going on between them. Tomoya even hides under Misae’s blanket when the rugby player comes in the room for advice. But it won’t happen in the anime, Nagisa will kill him for that, or to be more specific, her father will kill him..lol…
Even Tomoyo is joining the fun of being in Misae’s room. Yay!
After the lack of Tomoyo in the Sunohara Siblings’ arc, she is now back. Tomoyo consider Misae as her idol, the person she admires. Tomoyo aspires to be a great Student Council president just like Misae was in her ’school days’ (lol). Actually, Tomoyo doesn’t need any advices. If you watched the Tomoyo Chapter, you know that she is a successful Student Council president, even better than Misae was. But maybe that didn’t happen yet..
Rugby players are not in control of the dorm, Misae is.

Even rugby players have dates need advices from Misae, and I’m sure he is not the only one. I’m surprised that the rugby players are not attracted to Misae while asking for advices, they’re all busy with their dates.. Anyway, here we can see Misae’s motherly figure. She takes care of the dorm and all who lives there all by herself. Must be tough.
How do you know when a person smells soapy?
Those words hold a special meaning to Misae. You don’t get it at first, but you’ll know soon.
Tomoya, even Sunohara is better than you at dating girls..just kidding…
To everyone that say that the relationship between Tomoya and Nagisa haven’t ‘matured’ yet, I agree, and it’s better to keep it this way. So that it can give us a bigger impact when the real After Story starts, when the relationship between the two is at it’s best. So..I don’t mind if they still act like this in front of each other, being shy about their relationship and all.
Anybody who is too busy admiring Misae to even care about the cuteness of the cat, raise your hand.
Still, the cat is cute though. Well, that’s not surprising since…it’s a spoiler if I tell you why. Anyway, all this dreaming thing confuses me while playing the visual novel. I was like, what’s all this about? Where’s Tomoya? What’s the purpose of the dream? And why Tomoya’s the one who’s having this dream? Even now, I still don’t know the answer to the latter.
Misae in high school girl mode is win!
I’m surprised that the guy is not attracted to Misae. IMPOSSIBLE!!
In the end, Misae is just like any other high school girl, she is in love. Being in love sure is nice. but painful once it’s over, and it will be over no matter what. Well, Misae looks cute during her ’school days’ (again, that sounded so wrong). I approve!
By the way, Rakuen did a great job at comparing Misae to Kyou and Tomoyo. I can list more, but you don’t want me to rant again on why Kyou is better than Tomoyo right? ^_^
Shota? YES!
Shima looks exactly like what I was expecting him to look like, minus the clothing. He looks cute, just like any other female CLANNAD characters, the only difference is that Shima is a boy. Tomoya, if Shima was your age, you have a formidable opponent for your harem.
By the way, I like his hair.

Even the poor boy can’t escape from Misae’s divine punishment. Here, we can see that Misae prefers to use wrestling moves when harassing someone. Tomoyo uses her powerful kick, while Kyou combines her kick with dictionary throwing.
I You can’t deny the fact that I you wish to be in Shima’s shoe right now.
If so, I want to be Tomoya and be surrounded by pretty girls. Can I?
Shima is taking the wish thing seriously, granting anything that Misae desires. Even though I have many wishes in mind, but it’s hard to decide when this thing actually happens. I’m sure that many of you will feel the same way.

How old is Shima again? What I know is that he’s younger than Misae. He said that he is not interested in love. I doubt that he is following Misae around just because of the wish. Well, he will definitely develop some love towards Misae later, that is to be expected. But still, it’s a pretty short time for him to develop any love interest towards Misae. 2 days, or 10 minutes in real life..lol..

Despite being annoyed at the fact that Shima visits her everyday, Misae grew to get used to it. She even goes as far as taking Shima to the classroom so she can unwet him (lol). Nice move Shima, this way, you can be alone with Misae in the classroom, you little devil. ^_^
No where else will you see that sighing is moe.
Another thing that makes Misae, Misae, she sighs all the time. I don’t know if it’s a bad thing, but without all the sighing, she wouldn’t be Misae. It’s like nutcase23 without his Lucky Star love.. Now, can you imagine that?
You’re pushing the poor kid too hard.
This is a hard thing to do, especially for a person like Shima, who really cares for Misae and doesn’t want her to get hurt. Trust me, I’ve been in this situation before, in Shima’s shoe. But, I said to that person, “Your love matters should be solved by your own. Relying on other people’s help will make it even worse. That person might think that you don’t take it seriously, since you can’t even face that person to solve the problem. So, good luck”. But, easier said than done huh…
The above pictures sums it up. Yes, the scene was very emotional for me. It was way better than the one in the visual novel since I almost shed a tear, while I didn’t even care about what happened while playing the visual novel. Maybe it’s just me, since some people, like Ascaloth find the scene normal to them, it didn’t work for them. But for me, it did.. The scene may look simple and all, but it left a big impact on me. KyoAni never fails to do so, so, yay for another great episode.
As to why Misae suddenly left Shima on the bridge, who knows. I can only assume that she did so because of the shock after finding out that person she likes already has a girlfriend. Whatever it is, everything will be answered by next week.
I’m guessing that she got over it.. Well, I finished her route, so I didn’t guess..^_^
Now here’s where Misae’s friends help Shima out. Looking forward to it.

If you know Key, you’ll know what’s gonna happen to Shima. The bgm during the preview already served as a clue.. And judging from the preview, looks like next episode marks the end of Misae’s arc.. Pretty short if you ask me, but maybe it’s better this way. Prepare some tissues for next week. By the way, we still haven’t seen Misae as Student Council president. So, next week better come soon.
