This episode continues from last week’s episode, and it marks the end of Misae’s arc. It also marks the 2nd time I have experienced Misae’s arc. It was short but sweet, and one awesome emotional ride from the start till the end. The episode made me laugh, and the most important thing, it made me cried. Well, let’s talk more about the episode then, shall we?

But that concept can’t be applied here, can it?

Misae is still Misae, even in a state like this. Scary…

Shima’s attempt to comfort Misae..led to the above. Misae can still do her wrestling moves even when she’s heartbroken. Her action says that she can change her mood with the slightest choice of words. Then again, she wasn’t in any relationship with that Igarashi guy, so I don’t think that she’s ‘that’ heartbroken.. But I could be wrong..

This further proves my point above. I can’t think of anything that Shima have done wrong, he is merely being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I bet that Igarashi already has a girlfriend before Shima met Misae.. So..no one’s at fault..

Hear that? He liked your beautiful scent..but not anymore..lol.

Those words are same as the ones that came from Tomoya. She scolds, she worries, and she smells good. Hearing that made her remember Shima. Maybe that’s why Tomoya is having this dream at that time, because Shima was in her mind and the cat was there at the same time..

And just like that, they became a couple. Well that was easy..but you know, ALL harem leads have it easy with girls..lol. One more thing, Misae went from liking a manly guy who carries his bag like a gangster but too scared to admit that he has a girlfriend, to an innocent shota boy who she just met a few days ago, in a short time.

Should I say ‘moe’ or ‘trap’?

Umm..although she he looks cute and all, but I can’t help but to think that there is something wrong with the way he looks. No..it’s not a trap joke. Maybe it’s because his eyes doesn’t fit with the hair (not used to seeing green eyes). With the help of the hair, she looks like a girl but still retain his Shima look.

Yuki and Saki sure are evil. The poor boy must be embarassed there, but he agreed to do it? Anyway, as moe as he is, nothing beats the moe-ness of Mei. Nothing!

    Tomoya?

    Now that’s a harem!

Yoshino in his ’school days’ (that sounded so wrong)..is different. He was still cool like the older one, but a different type of cool. He is a wild boy here, but the one we know is more quiet and reserved. Something must have happened, and the answer can be found in his arc. Hopefully we get to see it in the anime.

    Ibuki..sensei?

One can’t help but to notice that Ibuki Kouko is already a teacher, while Yoshino is still a student. And how did Yoshino hook up with a teacher? This reminds me of Onegai Sensei. But whether their love began while Yoshino was a student or not, that’s what I want to know. Hopefully it will be explained later..so many unanswered questions in CLANNAD..

Fortunately Unfortunately, Key doesn’t support yuri. Sorry guys.

Misae have successfully became the Student Council president. And lol..she complained about Yoshino..he better be careful or he’s gonna regret it. Wait, does this mean that Misae and Yoshino are about the same age? It thought that Yoshino was older than that, but I guess I was wrong, he is young despite his mature appearance. Also, Misae and Yoshino along with Ibuki Kouko met each other again back in the first episode of CLANNAD ~After Story~.

*sob*..This is where the sad sad part begins.. If you’re familiar with Key, you know where this is going. And if you know what happened to Fuuko, the same applies here, only sadder..since the real Shima is no more..*sob*.. To make it worse, Shima found out about it when he is still in a relationship with Misae.. Just imagine how Shima felt at that time.. Can it get any worse than that?

What surprised me is the fact that Shima’s mother didn’t even recognize his own son in front of her.. Also, where did Shima stayed all this time? lol…

Despite having fun with Shima with their evil ways, Yuki and Saki are great friends. Here, instead of saying “What just happened?? Can you explain it?”, they said “We believe in you. No matter what happens, we’re still your friends”, and they even kept it as a secret. The event was a shock to Shima as well, so you can’t possibly make him explain what have happened..

    Old Pringles..

    Have fun while you can..

Empty? Was there something in it in the first place? I wonder what is it..and why did it disappeared now?

“Please love me, forever and ever” says Misae, and she kissed him.. Did Shima cried because Misae kissed him and wished for something, or did he cry because he can no longer be with Misae again? I guess it’s both…

    Farewell…

With that, Shima left Misae.. Granting the wish means that he has no more reason to stay in this world anymore.. Key/KyoAni always picks the best time to let a character go..and this is no different. And poor Misae, once again, the person she loved left her..*sniff*

    I’m back! Fear me!

Even though she’s a good student, she returned to the school to work at the male dormitory, all because of Shima for some reason.. And why the male dormitory? Who knows..

In the end, I still don’t know why Tomoya’s the one who had that dream.. Why didn’t the cat choose someone else instead of Tomoya? That’s what I want to know..

Misae finally found out the truth about her cat. The look in her face when Tomoya revealed the truth to her was priceless. And the timing of the bgm was perfect. All this resulted in a perfect scene to end her arc with.

Misae’s wish has been granted all along. The cat has been with Misae since Shima’s disappearance. And poor Nagisa, she doesn’t a clue to what’s going on..lol..

This marks the end of Misae’s arc. This was the 2nd time I experienced Misae’s arc, and it was even better this time. It was a little too short if you ask me, 3 episodes should’ve been better. But the short length doesn’t lessen the enjoyment of her arc, it’s just that it was too short for me to develop enough love towards Shima (not that kind of love).. Kanon spoiler: Makoto’s arc has like 2 - 3 episodes of buildup before she disappeared, while Misae’s arc has half an episode. Even though the story is almost the same, the buildup made Makoto’s arc on of the most tear-jerking story I ever saw..(highlight to see). But still, KyoAni never fails to amaze me with their work. Misae’s arc was great, and I loved it.

By the way, Misae’s arc is the only arc that I know of that Tomoya doesn’t have any direct involvement in. That made her arc unique from the rest.

    Yukine!

I wonder what’s this all about..

    The return of teh Sunohara!

Yep, Yukine’s arc is next. The arc that was supposed to be one of the main arcs in CLANNAD, but didn’t make it for some reason. Since it was supposed to be one of the main arcs, it must be as great as the main arcs. Not that the side-arcs are not great, look at Misae’s arc for example. Also, I saw someone with Yukine somewhere in the preview, her brother perhaps? Anyway, can’t wait for next week!
