OMG it gave me goosebumps reading this article since it is the same as if I would be the one to write it (I was actually thinking of another me on the other side of the world). Except for Honey and Clover and Digimon, everything you watched I also watched in the same exact order, including where you learned that you can download animes from the net because of Bleach. Death Note along with other animes also made me get tired of watching shounen animes (especially Bleach and Naruto)

@ wenwen: Yep, season 4 is when the Digimon era goes to trainwreck, I can say the same for the game.
And your cousin is one lucky girl to have Code Geass as her first anime.
I don’t know if lucky is the right word to use.
Oh yea, try showing her Dragonball after she finished Code Geass. ^_^

@ FlareKnight: Yep, that’s where most of my childhood memory lies.
None of the new seasons can live up to the first 3 seasons.

Unfortunately, I never watched Slayers before.
But I know that many people have watched it in the past.
Another reason why it’s still popular nowadays, I guess.

Its a good list that I think many can relate to in some way. Digimon is where I really resonate with this though. Really it was one of those series I just watched every week and enjoyed a ton. Taught some good lessons and the first season really was excellent. Aren’t too many ways to say how influential that show was for me.

Dragonball was also a nice part of the past as well. Not on here but Slayers was pretty big for me when I was younger. A great dub and managed to get comedy and seriousness in one heck of a package.

Ah nice memories.

wow! There’s a bunch of old anime here ^_^ I loved Digimon, untill season 4…-.-”’ I’m not sure why but I seriously hated season 4, what the, Humans becoming digimons!!! XD!!! But I love season 3 ^_^ I’ve only watched a few episodes of dragon ball at that time and liked it, but I never got to continue it even though it was on TV… I loved Pokemon and it was on the same level as Digimon ^_^
My niece’s (9 yrs old) first anime was Code Geass -.-”’ Because she came to Singapore for the first time and stayed at my house. I was watching Code Geass at that time and she joined me, till the last episode. And she loves it ^_^

Pokemon was part of my childhood as well, but I didn’t like it much..
I watched the English dub as well, and I was 7 at that time..so I didn’t complain..

What’s a ‘Lucky Star’? Is it edible? XD

I see some really old stuff here ^^

I never liked Dragonball and out-grew Doraemon pretty fast.

Stuck with Digimon for some time but then got tired of it.

I’d say the show I’ve stuck with for the longest time is Pokemon. Not anymore though. Not since they changed the VAs in Battle Frontier thereabouts. (Yes I watched the english dub. What is a 12 yr old supposed to watch then?)

And there’s no Lucky Star in this list.
