Looks like Tomoya is happy, he is having fun at work while being surrounded by his work buddies. Unlike Nagisa who is still suffering at school. Plus, he got promoted! Actually, his boss asked if he could fire him..lol..and get him a better job. Things are going well for Tomoya, for now that is…

Anyone can answer that.. xD

Barbara Fujioka, LOL! I bet that he came up with that out of nowhere. And he said that he is lonely without Nagisa, I guess that’s true since Sanae will be the only one in his harem now, even though that’s more than enough.

Why so sudden?

I wonder how the conversation between Tomoya and Sanae made Nagisa think of Tomoya’s father? Did Sanae’s words triggered it or something? ‘Not quite able to let go of our daughter’, and that made Nagisa think that Tomoya’s father is ‘letting go’ of Tomoya too easily. Like how his father didn’t even notice his son disappearing from the house (lol). Or worse, he noticed but didn’t take any actions..

Mizugi? Wouldn’t mind seeing that? ^_^

LOL, Tomoya’s ability to come up with something like that in a short time is enviable. And so is the way Nagisa responded to it, cute. But what I want to talk here is how much Nagisa wants Tomoya to get along with his father. Tomoya is thinking that he should just forget about his father and pretend that he never had one, but that doesn’t feel right to Nagisa. No matter what you do, you can never forget someone like that, someone who had changed your life for better or worse, in this case someone who had destroyed your dream. Even more if that person is blood-related. What I’m gonna say is no matter what he does, Tomoya can never live in peace until he does something about his problems.. He can’t run away from it all, that’s what Nagisa is saying..

I can play the guitar too! But I didn’t get any love..

Heh..if this was real life, they can’t get away with having a teacher-student relationship. Even though, it’s not official yet, rumors will start flying around and stuff. Teacher-student relationship, I can name 3 anime that have them, Onegai Sensei, Chobits, and this one of course xD. Well, this kind of relationship is rare in life because not many of students like teachers and teachers in real life are not half as pretty as the ones in anime.

Love & Music, which do you choose?

Yea, that’s what I want to ask Yoshino, to choose between Love & Music. But that’s quite easy to answer for most of us, isn’t it. Despite being a HUGE music fan, and can play a few instruments, I will definitely choose love over music. Love is a necessity to live, and music..is important too. Well, I listen and play music because I love music.. But I’m talking about the love in a relationship here, so what if that someone devotes his life to music, or his love is music..

Woah, I didn’t know Nagisa was a fan??? xD

Now THAT’S singing!

I have to point out something here, regarding singing in anime. In most anime, singing looks easy..too easy actually, but in reality, seriously, singing is hard. In most anime, the characters sing..without making hard faces, sweating, and other stuff like that even when singing hard and high-pitched songs. It makes them look fake. Well, that is possible even in real life, but I prefer to see someone really singing. That’s why I love the way Yoshino sings here, the awesomeness level of the song increases significantly when singing like this. But it really depends on the song itself. Another good example is our beloved goddess Haruhi, singing the ever popular song God Knows on stage in episode 12 of the series. That scene was way awesome!

I..see…people..

I can never sing in front of people like that. I can’ even play instruments calmly in public, let alone sing.. Heck, I’m even afraid of singing to myself…xD

Wait, little kids listen to rock music? xD

You know the saying, ‘it is the fans who made them successful, without the fans, they’re nothing’, it’s the same to any artist, including Yoshino.. Certain fans, like the ones Yoshino has, relies on his songs in their lives. They were saved by his songs, they continued living because of him.. At first, I thought it was strange for Yoshino to stop writing songs after he heard about how his songs affect people’s lives. Isn’t that more of a reason to keep writing more songs?

But after I did some thinking, now I know… It’s not easy to carry such a burden. What if you messed up? For example, what if your lyrics were wrong and became a negative influence, what will happen to them?

Scared now, huh..

Oh noes..I has fans..

But what’s even more important here is what the fans expect from you. All this time, Yoshino was singing for himself, because he likes it. And when he’s satisfied with what he did, that’s enough for him. I just happens that the fans like what Yoshino did. Yoshino only realized it now that his song is no longer his own anymore..

Isn’t that Tomoya’s father. lolwut xD

It appears that Yoshino’s absence in the music scene had lead to this.. A fan of his committed a crime, because Yoshino stopped writing songs. That made Yoshino even more confused, he knew that he did something wrong, so what if he just continued writing songs, will this happen? Thinking of that made him feel guilty, and thus he decided to make a comeback.

The fans love your songs, not you..

Unfortunately, the fans didn’t like the new Yoshino, or should I say, Yoshino’s songs. It’s hard to continue writing songs the same way after you’re hit with such a news. Yoshino thinks that his songs caused it, and it’s his fault. Now, Yoshino is writing songs to prevent people from doing the same thing as that guy, and I’m pretty sure that the songs have lyrics like ‘don’t do this’ or ‘be good’, no one listens to that.. Yoshino doesn’t like it himself..

….

In the end, he did the worse thing possible. The very thing that he’s trying to prevent..

Love is more powerful than music. That’s why people sing love songs, because of love..

The only one who can still accept him was the one who accepted him from the start, his first fan. After all that has happened to him, I won’t be surprised if he resorts to suicide, but thanks to her, he didn’t. He was so ashamed of himself when she saw her, bud she didn’t care about it and tells him to continue chasing his dream (which he didn’t do..). He can start a new life because she’s there with him.

I yell ‘LOVE!’ and I really mean it!

Yep, now I know why he is so passionate about things like love and making the right choices. He really means it when he says all those words, rather than trying to be cool and over-reacting..xD

We finally heard something about Tomoya’s father. But it’s not something that we wanted to hear..

Ugh..problems keep coming one after another for Tomoya..

At first, I thought Tomoya could say ’screw him, I have my own life now’, but then I heard that it destroyed Tomoya’s future as well, so..yea, Tomoya is screwed.. I can’t believe Tomoya has to go through all this just because his father did something wrong, not him.. But that’s how life works, when your father gets thrown into prison, you get bad reputation..*sigh*

Tomoya said that he hated this town in the very first episode of the first season..

Leaving the town is not the best choice, even I know that.. All this happened because Tomoya tries to run away, he didn’t go and visit his father like what Nagisa told him many time before. I bet that Nagisa is thinking something like ‘Haha..I told you. Serves you’re right!’, that could only happen if she isn’t Nagisa though.. So..yea, this could have been prevented if Tomoya took some action earlier..

And what were you thinking? Leaving the town with someone else’s daughter? Akio will kill you if you did that xD

Sucks to have a father like him huh..

Tomoya finally got the courage to face his father. Unfortunately, it’s a little too late.. The only thing Tomoya can do now is to ask why, why he did it? Why he caused so much trouble to him? But in the end, he didn’t respond nor change his facial expression. Ugh..that just pisses me off. He should have at least respond to him and just say anything, that’s way better than just standing there.. This is too much, now I don’t need to ask Tomoya why he hates his father so much.. What I want to know is why his father treats him that way?

Ouch…

Trust me, it really hurts, even if your hand doesn’t bleed from doing that. I tried to do something like that before, it didn’t bleed though. A friend of mine broke his arm for doing that..>_<

Umm..that’s it? That’s the proposal?

I don’t know why Tomoya chose such timing, but he did it.. He proposed to Nagisa, and Nagisa accepted it. Hurray!

We all expected to see something more than this, especially if it involves such a sweet couple like Tomoya and Nagisa. But it’s wrong to say that this is not romantic.. Nothing is more romantic in a relationship than admitting that they need each other to live, and this is the case for them. They have gone this far because they have each other. And this is the time when Tomoya needs Nagisa the most, to the point that he proposed to Nagisa.. I say that this was a great proposal, one that is actually pretty sad..

Overall, this was one of the best episode so far. It’s the turning point of CLANNAD ~After Story~. But I think that this episode had too many things happened, unlike that previous ones. From Yoshino’s past, to the part where Tomoya’s father was thrown into prison, and the proposal.. I know that this is not the end of Yoshino’s arc, so I’m looking forward to see how KyoAni handle things. Can Tomoya solve Yoshino’s problems while having his own? We’ll see…

Next Episode Preview

OMG! He..talked???

Woah, next week looks interesting. One of the things to look out for is how Nagisa’s parents (especially Akio) gonna respond to Tomoya’s proposal, and the above scene. I’m not really sure who the girl sitting next to Tomoya is, it’s either Nagisa or Sanae. We’ll find out next week. We’re already halfway in CLANNAD ~After Story~, the 2nd half is gonna be great.
