Anime Banzai Build 4.2.0 (Last updated: 23rd June 2008)
Anime Banzai! is built on Wordpress and hosted as part of the Animeblogger.net community. the theme is customized from an existing theme and tweaked to suit Anime Banzai!’s blogging needs.

I started blogging in 2001 on Livejournal (which wasn’t known as Anime Banzai) about my daily rants and rave which evolved into anime blogging after watching an episode of Mai HiME, the post was made on Blogspot. This was when I started to play around with coding and graphics. (not that well anyway :P). Eventually, I found my place in Animeblogger thanks to Maestro and his efforts for Animeblogger.

Anime Banzai bears its first post on 7th Feb 2007 as a passive blog which after some efforts and its initial decision to go news blog and open posting received a shot of 45000+ page views in the month of October.

It was not until end of 2008 that I decided to diversify the site with my own domain (http://www.thebanzaieffect.com) and Anime Banzai! will evolve into a dedicated anime review site. Cultural news, figurines and etc will move to my domain

Many credits to mellow bunny who assisted in creating the tabber, debugging and also jellokun for the forums and his podcasts to Anime Banzai! Many credits goes to nutcase23 for his feedback and other writers for their posts.

RAWR!! :P a self intro about me? Call me oOgA, I am the admin for Anime Banzai! and its creator.

I started blogging in Livejournal before proceeding to Blogger and finally with Wordpress. Managed to find a place in Animeblogger and started Anime Banzai! last year.

Currently 24 years old and working as an IT helpdesk guy (sigh). Saving up $ to study and hoping to get into a U. My posts in here is quite irregular now as compared to last time due to commitments in real life but still I am planning to keep this blog going.

The idea of opening the blog to guest writers and dedicated writers started last year and is warmly welcomed.

The kind of animes I like? Lots of them! As long it is interesting and most importantly, it has a nice OST, i will watch it. My current faves are the likes of popular visual novel conversions like Kanon, True Tears and CLANNAD.

+++ Registering as a Writer for Anime Banzai! +++

The process is pretty easy. You may use the contact form here (under construction) or just send a email to the blog (abanzai at animebloggerD0Tnet) with your primary email address, indicating your details:

Subject of email: Anime Banzai Writer

In the body of the email, please put in the following -

• Your Blog Alias/Login ID (the nickname that will appear on the blog when you post)
• Your name (Optional but it is part of the registration fields for your account)
• Your blog’s website URL (Optional)
• What will you be mainly posting (e.g: episode summary writer, eroge game summariser?, game reviewer, etc etc or you are gonna post any random articles subjected to the blog)
• How often will you be posting (Guest writer / Regular Writer)
  

Send the email and I will respond to you asap with your login password (you can change the password after you login).

You will be subjected to a Contributer account type only and I will have to vet it to make sure it is of the right catergory, appears right on the page and subjected to the rules for Animeblogger. The most important reason is to schedule your post so that it does not crash with another writer’s post together.

Anime Banzai on animeblogger, first appearance

The word “BANZAI 万歳” means “a million years” literally and is used by those ancient people who praised their emperors with a longevity of life who will live forever (million years to them is forever), hence I have always loved animes and I want it to get better and better so, slogan and the title of my blog – Anime Banzai.

Anime Banzai is a non-profit, non-commercial blog which all articles are being published out of the author’s interest and passion towards the anime and the otaku relevant nature.

Addition Features to Anime Banzai! 4th and possible upcoming features

The Forum – The Banzai Beat! (Available now):
With the help of jellokun and his Banzai Beat!, Anime Banzai! will have its own forums situated there. We will be planning to have a RSS feed of the forum to bring u the latest posts that will show on Anime Banzai!.

Do register there and engage in our discussions on the latest posts and our podcasts. A feedback category is also available where we will review your opinions on the blog so we can improve.

More information with a click. Information will now be more organized with The Tabber.

The Trading Place (WIP)
It is actually a forum sub category that we will put up for you to buy/sell/trade things. Pretty much like other forums, we will not be responsible for anything and we dont benefit from it as well. Rules will be given and have to be adhered like any other forums.

The Podcasts (Available now)
You heard our podcasts from the crew, the podcasts have been around for quite some time. A possible addition of the latest podcast to be put here without having to search for the post.
