[万歳! Wedensday - Seiyuu Corner!]

Name: Chihara Minori (茅原 実里)

Also known as Minorin by fans, Chihara Minori has her own career in Jpop and is also one of the popular seiyuus who have done some popular roles in various animes. Her history goes as far from 2003 when she started as an assistant for a radio program.

Her first seiyuu as according from her website, started in 2004 when she did the vocals for the character Natsume Aya in Tenjou Tenge and in 2006, her role in Nagato Yuki was mentioned to be a breakout role for her, similar to Hirano Aya who did Suzumiya Haruhi. Her popularity arises pretty much ever since and this was pretty much when I am aware of the anime characters that she had voiced and also the songs she had performed.

In 2007, she performs in Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou, a live concert event where SHnY seiyuu gather and sang their own character and theme songs for the anime which further heightens her popularity in her songs and also a seiyuu. As a artiste in jpop, Minori does well in fast paced as well slow moving songs too, something which I like as my fave seiyuu as well.

[万歳! Wedensday - Seiyuu Corner!]

Name: Makino Yui (牧野　由依)

Makino Yui, a seiyuu, and also a singer is one of the notable talents who is good in roles that involves demure type of girls in animes. Her roles in various animes, particularly in Tsubasa RESERVoir Chronicles as Sakura is what that makes her one of my favorite seiyuu.
Her recent cast in Sketchbook ~full color’S~ as Torikai Hazuki is one of the reasons I am keeping track on the anime. Also, Yui’s role as Misaki Nakahara in NHK ni Yokoso! boosted her popularity somehow in one way or another.

With an interest in piano as well, Yui’s songs are mainly light and gentle. One particular song from her that I really like is ARIA: The Animation’s OP – Undine. Her voice is what I call it as angelic in this song. Coupled with piano music, her voice really shines and lights up your soul.

While this is the first time to a do a short writeup on one of my favorite seiyuus, I am sure some of you guys like Makino Yui’s voice, her roles in animes and her songs. I do hope you like this short writeup, will try to do it better next week.
