That marks the highest Blu-ray Disc pressing among all Bandai Entertainment releases, including the Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell movies. It is also the first television anime series to ship simultaneously on both disc formats in Japan.
You can call it a record or whatever it is but it is definitely good to hear such a release on bluray. I am hoping (yes, hoping) that such a blu ray release or perhaps even lucky, the DVDs to be in Singapore :(
It was announced on the local news, MediaCorp and Odex Pte Ltd confirmed a collaboration to offer Japanese anime programmes on MediaCorp’s Arts Central channel and a new online anime channel AnimeTrix, available on MediaCorp’s internet video on demand – MOBTV.sg.
Under this new partnership, certain animes that are currently showing in Japan will be aired on the same time in the channel as well. Some of the confirmed series as mentioned are -

This is definitely good news! As announced on Frontier Works, 07th expansion’s mystery suspense doujin game – Umineko no Naku Koro Ni has been annouced to get a tv anime series. The story in general is about a mystery killing that takes place on an island – Rokkenjima in 1986.
if u are a fan of higurashi no naku koro ni for its suspense, this is definitely a must watch!
on a side note, higurashi no naku koro ni OVA will be getting its release this winter.
This comes as a old news, ef ~a tale of melodies~ trailer is now streaming on the homepage. The 2nd season of ef tv anime series compliements the sequel of visual novel – ef, which is known as the latter tale.
Shaft will be directing the animators and most importantly….Tenmon will be doing the musics :D
A 2 episode OVA for Gunslinger Girl has been confirmed. The OVA series will be released following the September 25th release of the 7th and final DVD of the Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino- TV series.
Both episodes will be apparently released on a single DVD individually.
