El Cazador de la Bruja - 24

Summary: Rosenberg explained that all the events up till now was planned by him. The reason was so he can kill Nadie now, in order to provoke Ellis’ true power. When he was about to shoot Nadie, Ricardo appeared. Ellis stopped Ricardo from killing Rosenberg, apparently she still wishes to know the answer. Rosenberg claims its still early so he will still have time to kill Nadie at the witch village. It turns out Ricardo was hired by Rosenberg to keep L.A under control.

Thoughts: Earlier in the series there were a fair number of episodes where you can summarize in one sentence. This is another one of those, but probably not as insignificant as the others in terms of story. Although not much happened, the episode wasn’t all that bad, especially when complimented by the music. I must say, the music used in El Cazador is really good and compliments the show really well.

El Cazador de la Bruja - 20

Thoughts: L.A continues to amaze me with his weirdo fetishes, in this episode he teaches us how getting your crotch set on fire is actually orgasmic. That aside, the episode was nothing out of the ordinary. By now we’ve already established that Ellis treasures Nadie and this just confirms it. Unlike the previous episode, Nadie actually looks like she acknowledge her importance for Ellis.

El Cazador de la Bruja - 19

Thoughts: Ellis is so cute, especially in this episode when she was jealous. I was surprised this week was more developments between Ellis and Nadie, since last week already spent doing that. But I guess with this, they are even closer, although it looks like Nadie doesn’t seem to acknowledge her importance for Ellis (her easy goingness can be so misleading >_>). Apart form that, it seems like the night clan is starting to be more serious about capturing Ellis. There is still a lot of unanswered question, and if anything, this episode brings more.

Thoughts: A rather mellow episode with developments involving Ellis. It also featured a spirit which brings in the superstitious element into the story. At least with the witch powers they attempt to relate the theory to science, The Maxwell Boltzmann stuff (had enough of him from text books), but the spirit thing is just purely magical, which isn’t bad since I thought El Cazador needed something to spice it up.

Thoughts: This episode didn’t really move things along, neither did it have much point. It does, however show a little bit about Nadie as a bounty hunter. Ricardo and Lirio are involved again, I guess it’s just to show that they will play some sort of role in the future and they aren’t out of the story just yet. Near the end it almost looked like Ellis could control her witch powers, perhaps as she is traveling with Nadie she is learning more and maturing.

Thoughts: More tacos! Have to say L.A is a good singer, not only that he seems to be an expert at mind games too, although I would say he isn’t the sanest person in the world. His obsession with Ellis continues this episode, what I found weird was why he decided to attack her, last time he was shitting his pants when he nearly hurt Ellis. I guess this is what you call one sided love, L.A still “loves” everything of Ellis’ (including her punches and kicks), even when Ellis said many times that she hates him.

El Cazador de la Bruja - 15

Thoughts: Probably had a little more fan service than usual (and for Darkshaunz here are your screenshots =P), but this episode also show a far bit of plot as well. I would say this week’s installment was fair mix of developments and action, although not as awesome as last week with the insert song – Forest, but it’s still pretty good. What didn’t seem to make sense was why did Hayward and her henchmen let Nadie and Ellis escape AFTER having a nice bath at the hot spring?

Ellis with a smile..

[Impressions]

This episode is awesome, why? Because it is about how about “Professor” Heinz and Ellis’s relation to each other grew from a “scientist-specimen” to a “father-daughter” kind of relationship. It brings the series to its peak as we get to see Ellis from young until the point Heinz got killed and it also show Ellis’s latent powers. Ellis is indeed an interesting girl we have in El Caza and how Heinz changed to like her to the point he abandoned his experiments just for her.

The episode shows that it is very unlikely for Ellis to be the “killer” who shot the “Professor”, there is another someone. While this “someone” is an unknown, there is something true for sure. The “someone” is definitey under orders /related or maybe even Rosenberg himself. That guy is under the govt since he mentioned about peoples’ taxes to the “Professor”, no doubt he will have some major backup up in the upper ranks

The quality and the emotions brought about in this episode simply moves me, the music is another factor that’s worth a praise, it brings out the emotions intended. The insert song was wow and it’s sung in english, seriously moved and I felt sad for Ellis’s past. It’s Kajura Yuki again whose musics are simply dazzling. So much Ellis goodness in this episode….I am starting to like this series again <3

ps: fyi, the insert song’s title is Forest, it is sung by Emily Bindiger and composed by Kajiura Yuki.

L.A.

[Impressions]

I liked this episode simply because finally there’s good development in the plot, Nadie and Ellis arrives at deserted town where rumors indicate that the people who lived there died due to an epidemic. As they advance deeper into the town, they were hunted by masked killers in biological suits armed with carbines. The both of them got seperated and LA revealed Ellis’s identity to her while she was wondering around. As for Nadie, she discovered a research facility where a hidden truth is revealed to her, yes. photos of little children artifically created fused with the DNA of the witches. LA reveals that he is a witch as well but as he is a male, he does not possess the powers to cast fire or summon the winds, however, he has superhuman powers and incredible agility.

Both girls got to meet each other but both of them knew something about the witches past but they did not share with each other. I am sure this will definitely be the main crucial point for the story to develop and eventually lead to something major. Nadie is now determined to protect Ellis with her life as they continues their journey south to search for Winra Marka…

Truly an amazing episode . ;)

LA looks cool with that cap

[Impressions]

Pretty action packed and yea, LA gets into some action in this episode. The unknowns are now after Ellis and they are basically not humans…with speeds like hedghogs (well..they have a spiky head..and they are fast… :P ). I am pretty much suprised when I saw Jody in that Tacos uniform, I was like LOL? Nadie and Ellis are pretty much in a pinch but luckily they met this weird looking guy who helped them. No, dont be mistaken, he is not doing it because he is a kind soul or what but because he is interested in Ellis too..Well, lets just say he is a pedo.. ;) Jody aka Blue Eyes’s alternate or rather real look is gorgeous….man..hawt!

Something that caught my attention about these unknowns that are chasing after Nadie and Ellis. As what Jody had advised, to endure until sunrise, and true enough, when the sun rises, those unknowns simply disappear out of nowhere.

nyaa~ -Ricardo

[Impressions]
heh…It was amusing to see Ricardo with that cat-ear headgear and LA is now back to his usual Ellis-stalking action again, although they didnt play a major role here.. definitely an episode worth watching. This time, Nadie and Ellis are in a a little town where a procession is going to take place. The assumed person with supernatural powers is living in this little town, however, she is a fake somehow but she did have a real power, to be able to see one’s past. I liked the way this episode is organised as it starts to introduce another “gang” of unknowns planning and calculating the next action to align with Rosenberg’s and of course, it involves none other than Ellis. This group of unknowns plays a important role in the story imo as they are the ones who silienced the assumed person with supernatural powers and also seems to be on Blue Eyes’s side. El Cazador is getting back on track and my feeling is that it will get better as it advances episode by episode.

A plan set in motion from different ends, 2 girls on their journey to the south, stalkers and unknowns stalking them, i am hoping the anime will be handled well and not end up in some kind of disappointment.
