MHP2nd G launched in Japan Last week and many fans queued outside their favourite shop for the Game Launch. Famitsu has a report video of the event. I played a bit of Monster hunter on my PSP before and the game has quite a deep system similar to an MMO. Looks like the PSP has gotten a system seller with this game. I’ll be popping in and out. Might even decide to blog an anime from Spring 2008. Just want to tell you that D. Gray Man is going to have a new opening! Its called “Gekidou” meaning “Agitated” by UVERworld. I’ve been waiting for UVERworld to make a theme for D. Gray Man. woohoo! and they did =D. chyeahh. It has a feel of “Shaka Beach ~Laka Laka La~.” Shaka Beach ~Laka Laka La~ is a HOT song. I love Takuya’s voice in it! I’m not understanding why they showed an episode which did not have this song as the theme. Maybe it was scheduled for this episode, but the song was chosen for another episode.

Also Hayate no Gotoku is getting a second season. Don’t you want more butler?

Composer Yoko Shimomura has released her new CD title “drammatica-The Very Best of Yoko Shimomura-” It contains many of the tracks from various Square-Enix Game and a sample track of FF vs XIII. I am sure many hardcore fanboy and fangirls of Final Fantasy will be hunting and importing this CD.

It seems that Master Chief, CLOUD and Crysis characters mods have appeared on Unreal 3 for PS3. Makes me wonder when Epic will bring their next Gears games to PS3 since both games utilize the same engine. Get the mods from ps3mods.blogspot.com

Coming out in 2008.04.07 [07 Apr 2008] Soul Eater [ ソウルイーター ] written by Atsushi Okubo is a manga to anime adaptation. A rough translation over at Japanator tells that the main characters are “Weapon Masters” part of a “Shinigami School” they work with Human weapons that transform into “Death Scythes” so that they can perform their work. The story and premise are really interesting, although the character designs and weapons seems a little familiar to other action anime, I really want to catch this anime after CLANNAD and that kid with the sharp teeth is really interesting. I am sure toy makers will make some figures out of this anime as well.

Kojima in the latest Famitsu interview casually remarks that Metal Gear Solid 4 [MGS4] is unable to fit onto a single Dual Layered Blu-Ray Disc without the programmers doing some compression to the certain parts of the game data. Also the game will not have all the vocal tracks for US and ASIA release. Some of the comments on N4G are kind of ridiculous these gamers do not know what its like to do data wrangling on media files.
