MHP2nd G launched in Japan Last week and many fans queued outside their favourite shop for the Game Launch. Famitsu has a report video of the event. I played a bit of Monster hunter on my PSP before and the game has quite a deep system similar to an MMO. Looks like the PSP has gotten a system seller with this game. Composer Yoko Shimomura has released her new CD title “drammatica-The Very Best of Yoko Shimomura-” It contains many of the tracks from various Square-Enix Game and a sample track of FF vs XIII. I am sure many hardcore fanboy and fangirls of Final Fantasy will be hunting and importing this CD.

PSPHyper reports that Mana Khemia is being ported to the PSP. With the Game getting an international released on PS2 I really would like to play the PSP version extras. I hope NIS America or Atlus will pick this up and do an international release.

Siliconera reports a 17 min trailer for Persona 4 in the latest famitsu mag. The magazine reveal the characters and story. Gameplay is the same as Persona 3. Kojima in the latest Famitsu interview casually remarks that Metal Gear Solid 4 [MGS4] is unable to fit onto a single Dual Layered Blu-Ray Disc without the programmers doing some compression to the certain parts of the game data. Also the game will not have all the vocal tracks for US and ASIA release. Some of the comments on N4G are kind of ridiculous these gamers do not know what its like to do data wrangling on media files.

Have a PS3… want to Play Disgaea 3 but don’t understand Japanese even though you like the cute characters? Well today in my email I received the latest newsletter from NISAmerica confirming a US release for August 2008. I do hope they keep the Japanese Audio tracks and have english subtitles since its a Blu-Ray disc so there’s lots of space.

confirmed by Siliconera and PS3fanboy Senjou no Valkyria [Vallyrie of the Battlefield] April 2008 Japan and Summer 2008 internationally . Unfortunately I will only get a chance to play this game in June as I do not have my PS3 with me right now. Stuck overseas at school doing my final semester this year. That new PS2 is scheduled to arrive in Asian retail stores on February 4, just in time for the Lunar New Year, but Sony didn’t say if the Crimson Red Treasure edition was coming to North America.

I guess the PS2 isnt going to die that fast yet, the crimson red PS2, known as Aka Takara Kurenai is a limited edition of the slim PS2.

Old news but just to share it here, Sony will be releasing its 16GB Memory Stick Pro DUO on March this year and set for a retail price of USD300. Talk about size not big enough, 16GB is definitely enough for ahem and your multimedia needs.

While the PSP’s official support is up to 8GB, sources from the Internet mentioned about Sony is gonna introduce it for the PSP, I am not sure how this is gonna work (maybe a firmware release?) I am not going to buy this for sure but hope the release will push the prices for the lower sizes down =)

Nah, she is not for sale but the game she is holding is gonna be retailing soon. Available for Playstation 2 owners on the 31st Jan 08, Suzumiya Haruhi (i.e the lifesize figure) hit the streets promoting her upcoming game.

Messe Sanoh started displaying this figure on 30th dec as a kind of promotion for the game  and will continue until the official launch of the game.

True tears for the PS2 has been confirmed some time ago and its release date has been set on 13 Mar 2008. For those who are actually not aware, this non-H visual novel is actually selling in Singapore in Chinese version at around $25+

With 2.10 firmware, PS3 owners can look forward in playing DivX and WMV media. However, there are some cons as well - DiVX 3.11, DRM protected WMV and files over 2GB are not playable.

The new firmware upgrades the Bluray profile to 1.1 as well. Perhaps, this is the time to buy a PS3 now ? =)

Sony will be releasing the red ver of the PSP this December. Known as Deep Red, the package will come with some nice accessories there.

Imo, it is a nice red color. Bloody lovely ;)
