According to this scan, a Hayate no Gotoku! OVA is in production. According to an unreliable source, it will be released on January 29, 2009. The subtitle is “Shimoda Onsen Hen Jyoshou, Nagi ga Aruji de Shituji ga Hayate de -Saikai- (Shimoda Hot Spring Part Prologue)”. “Shimoda Hot Spring” episodes correspond to the volume 11 and 12 of the manga. It will be released in DVD format before the actual 2nd season premieres.
All I can say is, OMGWTFBBQ111YESYESYESYESSSS!!

I’m a big fan of HnG, and I love the 1st season.
This piece of news indicates that the 2nd season of HnG will probably come next year, maybe as early as in Spring 2009, but who knows..
Anyway, this news really made may day. I can’t wait for it! XD

I like Hayate No Gotoku! very much and I’m very happy to hear the news. Even though it’s already 52 episodes long, I still can’t get enough of it. Why? Because of certain things that Hayate No Gotoku! have and other animes don’t. One of the obvious one is the wide variety of lovable characters. From the tsundere-Nagi to the can’t-help-but-to-love-Maria and other awesome characters such as the perfect-girlfriend-material-Hinagiku.
Other things that I love about the series are the characters breaking the 4th wall and the anime references. Hayate No Gotoku! has minimum plot and most of the episodes are not related to the plot at all. But I don’t mind and it’s good to watch animes like this once in a while. I don’t even mind if Hayate No Gotoku! goes on forever because I will never get tired of it. So, I hope that the 2nd season will be at least 52 episodes long just like the 1st one.

It’s summer holidays ~
[Impressions]
While we have Konata and the rest enjoying the summer heat in Lucky Star, It’s summer holidays ! What will be the best thing to do for summer in Hayate no Gotoku!
Yukiji – dragged to enjoy some bug catching by Miki and the rest (lol..no more booze drinking)
Hayate – Trying to learn a new ultimate skill during the holidays.. (-.-)
Nagi – fun? fun..more fun! to be with Hayate during the holidays
Maria – as usual
Klaus – sigh..
Ayumu – Thinking of Hayate..what else. and a showdown with Nagi which left Ayumu utterly defeated in a karoke singing.
Hinagiku – completed her summer homework (aww)
Isumi – not enough screentime, hence she was featured in butler netork for her character song.
Ayumu and Nagi definitely shows a improvement in the hamster-dragon relation and Ayumu declares competiton with her rival…which Nagi gladly accepts. Next episode, some action packed scenes..the robot appears yet again !

Wataru
[Impressions]
Another crazy episode in Hayate no Gotoku!, we have “The Ring” parody instead, Wataru explains to Hayate and Maria later on that Nagi rented the fake copy instead where it is rumored a cockroach will appear in the end instead and this led Maria very restless for she is very scared of cockroaches (that reaction she had was lol). Back to Wataru, he realizes that Saki has been very quiet and sighing often, this makes him wonder if it was because he had forgotten her birthday, which is also the year she has for the Coming of Age (. Wataru decide to make it up for her by buying a yutaka for her but in the end, the reason why Saki was sighing’s coz she was thinking what color she should buy for her cellphone (-.-) The cockroach’s appearance was very lame and it’s strong but not good enough for Isumi. The pendent that Hayate wore activated as well, not sure of the reason but I guess it would be explained in the future episodes.
The episode ends well with the whole lot admiring the fireworks at summer festival and concludes with a bit “fanservice” of Maria’s expression with a lil cockroach on her shoulder. This episode is good and the Ring parody was funny enough although the cockroach’s appearance was kindda lame. Anyway, next episode is gonna be exciting as we gonna have Ayumu making her appearance as part of the story. The battle between the dragon and the hamster..who shall prevail yet agiain… :P

[Impressions]
heh..I was suprised when they mentioned the Hinagiku fanservice shots (which Nagi isnt happy about it as it is irrelevant) were meant for screencapping maniacs (lol), hesitated on my screencapture button but heck! In this episode, it was pretty unexpected as I thought they would enjoy themselves on the island, in fact they didnt. Live alligator, killa whales and mechas? omg -.- Unfortunately, Hinagiku didnt join them because she is afraid of planes (awww). Lots of anime references in this episode as well and imo, I found that the 3 girls above are somehow the main focus in this episode. yea…they dont get much screen time dont they ? ;) Fanservice, parodies…this is the episode you can get your fingers busy by doing some screencapture before we go to the main thing in the next episode where we have some “close moments” between Maria and Hayate.

Hinagiku and Hayate <3
[Impressions]
Nagi decides to do something that she never done before to gain some experience points (just like an RPG?), in the end, it was a mess. It is all up to Hayate to pacify his little master and guide her along the path. The first manga scene got me laughing and the later scenes keeps the ball rolling. I wonder how much experience Nagi learnt from this “lesson”. None, i guess or rather in a wrong way. Some references I noticed was from SHnY and Char Aznable.
Next episode is something that gets me highly anticipated – a summer holiday at the beach episode (yes..that scene in the ED2). It’s gonna be another crazy episode again as it seems like all of Nagi’s friends are going. lol. I am in love with this scene above – Hinagiku and Hayate, again, I wish they were lovers cos they would make a compatible pair (lol..although this is a comedy anime). Thanks to Hayate, the whole was saved from a disaster by Nagi – Yukiji was one poor thing to drink that “soup” .
