Ok This year at my final year of Study at Uni, I decided to take up a Japanese Elective this year. I wanted to write about this very much to share a bit of what I do at school Currently I have finished learning all the Hirigana 「ひりがな」 and had a couple of test which I passed ^^ next week its going to be a listening test followed by and Oral exam. At this stage I am not perfect, but hopefully Next semester as I learn more Japanese II I will be able to hear and understand those RAW animes. I have compile a bunch of notes on studying Japanese and in future Posts I might include some of those in.
MHP2nd G launched in Japan Last week and many fans queued outside their favourite shop for the Game Launch. Famitsu has a report video of the event. I played a bit of Monster hunter on my PSP before and the game has quite a deep system similar to an MMO. Looks like the PSP has gotten a system seller with this game. In an Hour [AUS Eastern Time] Earth Hour at 2008 will begin in Sydney and the rest of Australia, That means no watching of anime for one hour and fighting Global Warming. Flickr and Google search had some interesting results. It will be a Dark City with a Bright Idea. I included some anime pictures from Flickr with tag “Dark”.
The North American Square-Enix Members portal have launched on 2008.03.24 . I registered a couple days earlier but the site is still not up to par with the Japanese site which has custom avatars and such. Hopefully in the future more stuff will be added.
It seems that Master Chief, CLOUD and Crysis characters mods have appeared on Unreal 3 for PS3. Makes me wonder when Epic will bring their next Gears games to PS3 since both games utilize the same engine. Get the mods from ps3mods.blogspot.com
Siliconera reports a 17 min trailer for Persona 4 in the latest famitsu mag. The magazine reveal the characters and story. Gameplay is the same as Persona 3. Game comes out on the ever popular PS2 on 2008.07.10 [July 10th]. The Trailer has been uploaded to YouTube and its 17min Long! Really keen to see what the new persona are like! Remember the pocky commercial staring Aragaki? Here is a movie of Hatsune Miku dancing with her leek to the same music, very cute at the end when she chew on her leek.
Shōji Kawamori can be regarded as the father of Mecha designs in Japan, since having co-created Escaflowne, Eureka 7 and nearly every Macross series, he has become an established Mecha designer for both anime, toys and videogames. He designs mecha using Legos! The new Macross F VFs were designed using this method the TV presenter were surprised that his LEGO VFs can transform as well
Macross F will feature the return of Maaya Sakamoto, she will lend her beautiful voice to the main OP theme song “Triangluar” for Macross F when it airs in April (2008.04) in Japan. The project will be a reunion with composer Yoko Kanno as well. I am excited to see how this will turn out as am a fan of both Maaya Sakamoto and Yoko Kanno. If you have not seen Macross F I suggest you get the first OVA episode from the usual sources its a real treat to watch with the new redesigned VFs and very well designed characters.
